Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our temporary email features, limits, and privacy protection.
What is a temporary disposable email?
A temporary disposable email (also known as 10-minute mail, burner email, or fake email) is a short-lived email address that allows you to receive incoming mail without requiring personal registration or passwords. Once you are done with the account verification, the email expires automatically.
How many inboxes can I create at once?
By default, you can hold up to 7 concurrent active temporary inboxes simultaneously on your device. You can easily switch between slots with 1 click, or delete old ones to free up capacity.
How long are emails preserved on tempemails.site?
Emails are safely preserved for 7 days so you don't lose vital verification links or activation codes unexpectedly. Once expired, all messages and metadata are purged permanently.
Can I send emails from tempemails.site?
No. tempemails.site is strictly an inbound-only receiving service. This architectural restriction completely prevents spam abuse, fraud, or harassment from ever originating from our domains.
How does 1-Click OTP copying work?
Our mail processing engine automatically scans incoming emails using regular expressions for 4 to 8-digit verification codes. When an OTP is identified, an prominent "Copy OTP" badge appears at the top of the message so you can copy it in a single click.
Can I use temporary email for banking or sensitive accounts?
No. Disposable emails are intended for testing, forum registrations, Wi-Fi logins, and services where you do not need permanent recovery. Never use temporary mail for banking, cryptocurrency exchanges, government portals, or legal identity management.
